Day 01: Soni Water Fall

Arrive by bus and check inn at Lushoto executive lodge. After lunch drive for 15 minutes to Soni, visit the water fall close to the bus stand. The tour can be extended to Kwemongo growing rock a headquarters for butterflies. Drive back to Lushoto town and spend the overnight at Lushoto executive lodge

Day 02: Trek to Irente View Point

After breakfast at Lushoto executive lodge start walking through Lushoto town uphill to Mabughai village, ascend downhill to Irente biodiversity. Take your lunch at noon at the same facility. After lunch walk around and enjoy the botanical gardens and shrubs maintained by Irente biodiversity reserve while taking some pictures of different birds. Get some explanations about different herbals. Return to the hotel evening via Kwembago royal village and spend the night at Lushoto executive lodge.

DAY 03. Trek to Rangwi.

After breakfast, drive by private transport through a part of Magamba nature reserve to Lukozi and start trekking through the traditional villages to Rangwi sister’s convent. Check in at the convent hostel and if not exhausted walk around Emao village and visit an old secondary school which was previously owned by the convent. Return to the convent and walk around their beautiful gardens. Get informed about the origin of the convent and the project run by the nuns.

Day 4: Trek to Mambo View

Trekking through Goka forest (a home for different primates including the black and white colobus monkeys), the traditional villages, to a pottery village for the workshop and along the escapement of the mountains to Mambo view lodge. Lunch on the way especially at Sunga village.  Walk through a well conserved terraced land to Mambo view lodge and check in. In the evening walk to the spiritual caves and a famous footprint at a hill close to Mambo village.

Day 05: Trek to Mtae

After breakfast with your packed lunch walk to Mtae village the classic world view point and explore the very end of the Usambara Mountains. Visit a traditional healer and get to know how it works with the traditional herbals and magic in healing different diseases. Walk to Mtii and hear the history for the origin of these mountain people. Extend the trekking to Mpanga village through a famous trail the Usambara King used to pass when visited his sub chiefdoms of Mtae and Mlalo. Turn back to Mambo view lodge in the evening the pottery village and spend another night.

Day 06: Drive to Pangani.

From Mambo view lodge, drive by private transport to Lushoto, take a public bus and arrive in Tanga in the afternoon.  From the bus station drive by a private car to a Sulphur water spring in Galanos. Explore the natural boiling water and drive to Peponi beach resort in the evening by a private transport. Check in and spend the night at this paradise resort.

Day 07: Pangani Town Tour.

After breakfast at Pepopi beach resort have some relaxing moment in preparation to explore the sea by doing snookering. Get your lunch in the afternoon and return ashore for swimming and other sand plays at the beach.

Day 08: Drive to Bagamoyo.

After breakfast, take a public bus to Tanga city and get a public bus heading to Dar es Salaam. Arrive in Dar es Salaam in the evening. Take a private transport to Bagamoyo and check in at Bagamoyo country club.  Walk around the town in the same evening and learn about people cultural life, history and their daily activities. Return to a selected accommodation facility and spend the overnight.

Day 09: Bagamoyo.

Walk around the historical town of Bagamoyo for some historical facts and visit some Historical sites, monuments, cemetery residuals and explore unique life styles of the natives. Walk back to the beach for some executions as felt. Return to the accommodation facility in the evening and spend the night.

Day 10:  Zanzibar.

After breakfast, get into a private car and depart to Dar e salaam ready to take a boat/ferry and sail to Zanzibar Island (Unguja) the well-known place foe its cultural peculiarity in dressing codes, sea foods, cultural and historical buildings. Check in at either of Dhow Palace, Tembo House or Zanzibar Palace Hotel Walk the beach and get involved in some evening beach activities as felt. Return to the accommodation facility and spend the night.

Day 11: Zanzibar.

Walk through the streets of the stone town, get informed about old Arabic life styles and their cultural influence to the transformation of the Bantu ethnic groups found within the Islands. Visit the slave market and keep on exploring. Stone Town is a World Heritage site and is the most atmospheric and vibrant of all the remaining traditional Swahili settlements. Architecturally it’s a fusion of African and Arab influences not dissimilar to the medinas of Morocco with its narrow streets, twists and turns. Culturally modern Stone Town is a lively melting pot that embraces visitors and manages to offer a selection of fine dining and curious attractions without compromising its old world charm.
